Effect of a patient engagement tool on positive airway pressure adherence: Analysis of a German healthcare provider database

Woehrle H, et al. - The aim of the presented analysis was to examine the addition of a real-time feedback patient engagement tool on positive airway pressure (PAP) adherence when added to a proactive telemedicine strategy. Key findings from this study demonstrated that addition of a patient engagement tool to telemonitoring-guided proactive care was related to higher device usage and lower leak. The authors suggested that addition of an engagement tool could help improve PAP therapy adherence and lessen mask leak.
