Wade DM, et al. - Researchers conducted a cluster-randomized clinical trial with 1,458 patients to investigate how nurse-led preventive, complex psychological intervention delivered to critically ill patients initiated in the intensive care unit influence posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptom severity. Findings revealed no meaningful difference in patient-reported PTSD symptom severity at 6 months resulting from this intervention, so this study provides no support to use this psychological intervention.
