Education level and breast cancer incidence: A meta-analysis of cohort studies

Dong JY, et al. - Researchers investigated how education level is associated with breast cancer incidence by performing a meta-analysis of cohort studies. Searching PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases on June 10, 2018, they recognized 18 cohort studies with more than 10 million women. The analysis revealed a possible correlation of a higher education level with an increased risk of developing breast cancer, in which alcohol use, age at menopause, and hormone therapy may, at least partially, play a mediating role.
