Fernandez H, et al. - This study entailed the investigation of the budget impact of using ulipristal acetate (UPA) 5 mg to treat women with uterine fibroids (UF) causing moderate to severe symptoms. Its utility in women eligible for surgical procedures for UF was linked to substantial savings for the French national healthcare insurance system in both preoperative and intermittent indications. This was achieved by decreasing the need to perform surgeries.
