Ha LD, et al. - In order to determine the appropriate timing of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction, researchers compared clinical outcomes of early CABG (performed within the first 48 h of admission) vs delayed CABG (performed after 48 h of admission) in a propensity score-matched analysis. They found that in propensity-matched patients, early vs delayed CABG did not significantly increase the risk for in-hospital mortality.
