Early stage olfactory neuroblastoma and the impact of resecting dura and olfactory bulb
The Laryngoscope Dec 15, 2017
Mays AC, et al. - A comparative assessment was undertaken by the authors of the outcomes of patients with olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) without skull base involvement treated with and without resection of the dura and olfactory bulb. It was determined that most Kadish A/B ONB tumors presented with low Hyams grade, unilateral involvement, and favorable survival outcomes. The findings also illustrated that the resection of the dura and olfactory bulb was not discovered to be oncologically advantageous in patients without skull base involvement who were surgically treated with negative resection margins and cribriform resection.
