Van der Poel NA, et al. Â This study outlined the clinical presentation and early signs and symptoms of otogenic intracranial complications (OIC) in children and adults. Accumulated data represented that OIC in children usually mimics as meningitis (e.g. nausea and vomiting). On the other hand, in adults, it gives the clinical presentation like stroke (e.g. neurological deficits and decreased level of consciousness). Moreover, in children, sinus thrombosis was observed more frequently than in adults.
