Early-life adversity and cortisol response to social stress: A meta-analysis

Bunea IM, et al. - This meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effect of early-life adversity on cortisol response to social stress. The authors supported the association between early-life adversity and blunted cortisol response to social stress. Findings suggested that the long-term negative effects of early-life adversity could reach maximum levels in adults.
