Early impact of postoperative bracing on pain and quality of life after posterior instrumented fusion for lumbar degenerative conditions: A randomized trial

Soliman HAG, et al. - In a population of patients who underwent posterior spinal instrumented fusion (PSIF) for lumbar degenerative conditions, researchers assessed the impact of postoperative bracing on pain and quality of life (QoL) 6 weeks and 3 months postoperatively. They found that postoperative bracing did not result in better improvement in QoL or pain relief up to 3 months after PSIF.
