Kahrs CR, et al. - This paper strived to inspect the growth during the first 2 years of life, in children later diagnosed with coeliac disease compared with children without, in a time with changing epidemiology and improved diagnostics. It was often noted that growth retardation in children later diagnosed with coeliac disease started at 12 months of age. It appeared to precede the clinical symptoms that usually led to the suspicion of diagnosis.
