Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Mar 15, 2018

Jiang X, et al. - Whether early food allergy and respiratory allergy symptoms are related to the prevalence of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in Chinese school-age children, was investigated herein. Early food allergy was shown to be related to ADHD in school-age children. An independent, as well as synergistic contribution of early food allergy and respiratory allergy symptoms to higher risk of ADHD, was reported. Monitoring food allergy in early life could help the early prediction and intervention for the consequent allergy march and ADHD in children.
