Grooten IJ, et al. - Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) has been associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes such as low birth weight. Researchers postulated that early enteral tube feeding plus standard care in women with HG would improve birth weight. As an early routine treatment of HG, enteral tube feeding failed to improve birth weight or secondary outcomes and was poorly tolerated.
