Early and late pregnancy loss in women with polycystic ovary syndrome undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment: A retrospective cohort analysis of 21,820 pregnancies
BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nov 11, 2020
Cai H, Mol BW, Gordts S, et al. - Researchers conducted a retrospective cohort study of women with a positive β‐hCG after IVF/ICSI treatment with the aim to determine early and late pregnancy loss in women with and without polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) undergoing IVF/ICSI transfers. Among 21,820 women identified with a positive β‐hCG, 2,357 (10.8%) women had PCOS, and 19,463 (89.2%) women did not. Observations revealed no independent correlation of PCOS with early pregnancy loss. An increased risk of late pregnancy loss was noted, however, this was not statistically significant.
