They obtained high prevalence of dyslipidemia among diabetic patients in the study area. Thus, a compressive mechanism is required to screen, treat, and prevent dyslipidemia. Methods

- Researchers carried out a cross-sectional study from September 2015 to April 2016.

- They found that individual lipid abnormality of elevated LDL-C, TC, TG, and reduced HDL-C were distinguished in 43.8%, 23.7%, 40.6%, and 41.9% of study subjects, respectively.
- It was indicated that frequency of dyslipidemia was significantly associated with high BP, high body mass index, aging, and longer duration of diabetes mellitus.
