Dynamic contrast-enhanced CT for the assessment of tumour response in malignant pleural mesothelioma: A pilot study
European Radiology Jul 05, 2018
Gudmundsson E, et al. - The usefulness of hemodynamic parameters resulting from dynamic contrast-enhanced computed tomography (DCE-CT) scans in the evaluation of tumor response to treatment in malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) patients was examined in this pilot study. The patient cohort comprised nine subjects undergoing chemotherapy and five subjects on observation. With respect to treatment in MPM, differing trends in the relative change of blood flow (BF) and blood volume (BV) found between patients on treatment and on observation showed the potential of DCE-CT for the evaluation of pharmacodynamic endpoints.
