Dwell time of stentriever influences complete revascularisation and first pass Tici3 revascularisation in acute large vessel occlusive stroke

Kannath SK, et al. - In this study, researchers systematically analysed the effect of different dwell time (DT) on final angiographic and clinical outcome of patients who underwent mechanical thrombectomy. An improvement in revascularisation outcome with fewer attempts was observed with mild prolongation of DT to 8 minutes. This was possibly due to better clot-stent interaction.
