Jans A, et al. - In this nationwide register-based cohort study including 8,546 adults with T2D and BMI ≥ 35 kg/m² who received primary bariatric surgery in Sweden between 2007 and 2015 distinguished via the Scandinavian Obesity Surgery Registry, experts examined the relationship between T2D duration and the chance of attaining remission of T2D following bariatric surgery. Complete diabetes remission was accomplished in 58.2% and 46.6% of individuals following 2 years and 5 years, respectively.
