Dual-centre randomized-controlled trial comparing transurethral endoscopic enucleation of the prostate using diode laser vs bipolar plasmakinetic for the treatment of LUTS secondary of benign prostate obstruction: 1-year follow-up results
World Journal of Urology Feb 22, 2018
Zou Z, et al. - Authors conducted this trial for comparing a modified diode laser enucleation of the prostate (DiLEP) with bipolar endoscopic enucleation of the prostate (BEEP) for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). For the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, DiLEP was an anatomical endoscopic enucleation technique. At 12 months postoperatively, this technique was noted to be non-inferior to BEEP regarding maximum urinary flow rate and international prostate symptom score.
