Dual antiplatelet therapy for perioperative myocardial infarction following CABG surgery
American Heart Journal Feb 18, 2018
Wang A, et al. - Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) was compared with aspirin alone in terms of impact on short-term outcomes among patients with perioperative myocardial infarction (MI) following coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). As per findings, DAPT was used for managing perioperative MI in one-quarter of patients who underwent CABG. Furthermore, DAPT was not associated with a difference in MI, stroke, or mortality at 30 days, but was associated with fewer re-hospitalizations.
