Dierickx S, et al. - Researchers aimed at describing changes over time in drugs used to perform euthanasia and differences in case characteristics according to the drugs used. As per guideline recommendations, barbiturates and neuromuscular relaxants are recommended for euthanasia. They noted that the recommended drugs for euthanasia are increasingly used by physicians in Flanders. Thereby suggesting the important effects of guidelines and training regarding the conduct and pharmacological aspects of euthanasia on the practice of euthanasia.
