Double Trouble: Co-occurrence of testosterone deficiency and body fatness associated with all-cause mortality in US men
Clinical Endocrinology Oct 31, 2017
Lopez DS, et al. - Physicians designed this study to examine whether the co-occurrence of testosterone deficiency (TD) and overall obesity (body mass index ≥ 30 kg/m2) and abdominal obesity (waist circumference ≥ 102 cm), was correlated with a risk of all-cause mortality in American men. A higher risk of mortality was found in men with co-occurrence of TD and abdominal obesity. The impact of co-occurrence of TD and abdominal obesity needed to be further investigated with a larger and longer follow-up time study.
