Mutlu A, et al. - An inquiry was set up of the clinical features of both carotid and vertebral arteries in the idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSNHL) patients and healthy subjects. The intention was to contribute additional knowledge to the vascular compromise theory. The carotid artery thickening was observed in the vascular wall. The data illustrated the vascular compromise on vertebral arteries. The Doppler ultrasonography (USG) could assist in identifying the etiology of ISSNHL. In order to define the exact results, advanced studies were necessitated.
