Dopamine transporter imaging predicts motor responsiveness to levodopa challenge in patients with Parkinson's disease: A pilot study of DATSCAN for subthalamic deep brain stimulation
Journal of the Neurological Sciences Jan 11, 2018
Nakajima A, et al. - This pilot study was conducted to examine the relationship between motor symptoms and the specific binding ratio (SBR) on dopamine transporter (DAT) imaging in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). In subthalamic deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) candidate selection and the identification of the therapeutic mechanism of STN-DBS in patients with advanced PD and motor symptom fluctuations, DAT imaging could be useful.
