Does marital status impact postoperative survival in patients with less differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma?: A population-based study
Cancer Medicine Sep 06, 2019
Yan B, et al. - Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database, researchers investigated how postoperative survival of patients with less differentiated (poor/anaplastic) hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is influenced by marital status. A total of 1,581 postoperative patients with poor/anaplastic HCC were retrospectively analyzed. Categorization of the participants into married, never married, divorced/separated and widowed groups was done. Findings revealed no prognostic role of marital status in survival for patients with poor/anaplastic differentiated HCC managed with surgical resection.
