Does intra-tumoural fat on MRI predict visibility of small (≤3 cm) hepatocellular carcinomas during ultrasound-guided tumour ablation?
Clinical Radiology Nov 17, 2017
Hui TCH, et al. - The clinicians evaluated whether intra-tumoural fat on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) affected the ultrasonographic (US) visibility of small (≤3 cm) hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) during radiofrequency ablation (RFA). They demonstrated that in small HCCs, the presence of intra-tumoural fat on pre-procedural MRI could accurately predict their visibility on planning US during percutaneous tumour ablation.
