El Alaoui S, et al. - The authors intended to figure out whether internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT) reduces healthcare costs and use of healthcare resources compared with cognitive behavioural group therapy (CBGT). In the treatment of social anxiety disorder (SAD), ICBT was equally effective but was associated with more efficient staff utilisation and reduce healthcare costs compared with CBGT. Thus, ICBT was an advantageous treatment option, from a healthcare provider perspective.
