European Journal of Radiology Mar 07, 2019
Dietzel M, et al. - Via performing a prospective monocentric study, researchers inter-individually compared the diagnostic accuracy of breast MRI at 1.5 T and 3 T. All 982 patients receiving breast MRI in accordance with standard indications were randomized over a 12-month consecutive period to one 3 T or 1.5 T scanner both equipped with dedicated 16-channel breast coils. One thousand, nine hundred sixty-one breasts have been included in this investigation. According to findings, comparably high diagnostic accuracy was identified for both 1.5 T and 3 T breast MRI in this prospective monocentric study. For breast imaging, both 1.5 T and 3 T are equally suitable.
