Osteoporosis International Jun 29, 2018
Yoshimura N, et al. - Researchers evaluated the contribution of sarcopenia and osteoporosis to the occurrence of frailty using 4-year follow-up information of a population-based cohort study. The risk of frailty could be reduced by preventing osteoporosis and coexistence of osteoporosis and sarcopenia. A significant association in the osteoporosis with the occurrence of frailty was seen on logistic regression analysis after adjustment for confounding factors. They noted a significant increase in the occurrence of frailty according to the presence of osteoporosis and sarcopenia.
