Akins PT, et al. - This study was performed on obese and extremely obese patients with lumbar spine fusions to determine if these patients lost a clinically significant amount of weight (≥5%) 1 year after their surgery. As per the findings, obese and extremely obese patients, compared with nonobese patients, had more significant weight loss.
