Naik HB, et al. - Through a retrospective study on 1,203 patients with dermatologist-confirmed hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), the contributors sought to investigate the age at HS onset and its distribution. Age at visit, sex, race, self-identified ethnicity, self-reported age at HS onset, and disease severity were collected. Inclusion of different studies to compare age at onset across sex, race, and disease severity was noted. Significant association between sex with age at onset of HS was concluded.
