Distinguishing chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension from other causes of pulmonary hypertension using CT

Grosse A, et al. - Researchers aimed at ascertaining imaging findings that separate chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) from other causes of pulmonary hypertension (PH). In this work, most patients with CTEPH indicated direct vascular signs of chronic PE. Secondary signs identified were disparity in segmental vessel size, mosaic perfusion pattern, parenchymal densities, collateral bronchial arteries, and bronchial dilatation, which provided help for distinguishing CTEPH from other causes of PH.
