Distance to screening site and older adults participation in cognitive impairment screening
Geriatrics and Gerontology International Aug 15, 2017
Harada K, et al. – This study ascertained if a shorter distance to the screening site speculated the participation in screening for cognitive impairment. It also determined whether interactive effects of the distance and psychological factors on the participation would be noted among community–dwelling older adults. The data displayed that distance to the screening site predicted participation in cognitive impairment screening among older adults, despite their psychological status. Hence, an improvement in access to screening sites would be effective for promoting screening for cognitive impairments, among both low and highly motivated older adults.
