Ursin K, et al. - Herein, the disease activity in women with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) during and after pregnancy was studied by the experts. The disease activity was noted to be highest in the second trimester. But they noted it to be altogether low and stable in the period from planning the pregnancy to 1 year following delivery. In the third trimester, physical functioning was notably worse vs postpartum.
