Discriminatory CT-textural features in splenic infiltration of lymphoma vs splenomegaly in liver cirrhosis vs normal spleens in controls and evaluation of their role for longitudinal lymphoma monitoring
European Journal of Radiology May 17, 2018
Reinert CP, et al. - Authors sought to determine CT-texture analysis (CTTA) features for the discrimination of splenomegaly due to diffuse lymphoma involvement and liver cirrhosis vs normal-sized spleens in controls as well as to evaluate their potential role for longitudinal lymphoma monitoring. The findings demonstrated that CTTA features in subjects with splenomegaly because of lymphoma and liver cirrhosis differ significantly from those of healthy controls and can be additionally utilized for monitoring lymphoma treatment. They suggested that quantitative CTTA features could increase the accuracy of diagnosing causes of splenomegaly.
