Disability from posttraumatic headache is compounded by coexisting posttraumatic stress disorder

Roper LS, et al. – The experts undertook this study to assess whether posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affected posttraumatic headache (PTH) disability. Among patients with chronic PTH, increased severity of PTSD–type symptoms significantly correlated with increased headache disability. Managing PTSD symptoms could facilitate headache management in patients with chronic PTH.
