Ruppé E, et al. - Researchers sought to focus on digestive tract colonization by multidrug-resistant Enterobacteriaceae in travellers. As per findings, high risk of multi-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (MRE) acquisition and consequently of MRE infection was evident in travellers. General practitioners should not avoid this risk. To reduce the risk of acquisition and subsequent transmission to relatives, they suggested giving recommendations to travellers prior to their travel.
