Diffusion-weighted MRI characteristics associated with prognostic pathological factors and recurrence risk in invasive ER+/HER2– breast cancers
Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Nov 30, 2017
Amornsiripanitch N, et al. - The prognostic potential of diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) in invasive estrogen receptor (ER)+/HER2– breast cancers was determined by investigating associations with pathologic biomarkers and a genomic assay for 10-year recurrence risk. A correlation between DWI characteristics with tumor grade, proliferation index, and recurrence score (RS) was demonstrated. It appears that DWI can potentially help identify patients with the highest recurrence risk and most potential benefit from chemotherapy.
