Zhang L, et al. - Physicians designed this study to demonstrate the value of diffusion-weighted imaging in the characterization of mastitis lesions. For isolating periductal mastitis from other mastitis lesions, apparent diffusion coefficient values were helpful. In addition, distribution of non-mass enhancement was found to be beneficial for comparing mastitis subtypes.
