Calvet J, et al. - The primary focus of the researchers, herein, was to assess the link between different synovial fluid adipokines with pain and disability in female patients with knee osteoarthritis. With respect to pain and disability in knee osteoarthritis patients, different patterns of association between synovial fluid adipokines were observed. Particularly, an association of adiponectin with pain was evident, while resistin and visfatin were found to be mainly related to function.
