Different predictivity of fluid responsiveness by pulse pressure variation in children after surgical repair of ventricular septal defect or tetralogy of Fallot
Paediatric Anaesthesia Sep 14, 2017
Han D, et al. - Researchers presumed that the variation in the right ventricle-pulmonary circulation in children with ventricular septal defect or tetralogy of Fallot would affect the heart-lung interaction and therefore pulse pressure variation predictivity of fluid responsiveness following cardiac surgery. This study demonstrated that in both groups of cardiac surgery patients, pulse pressure variation was predictive of fluid responsiveness following cardiac surgery.
