Differences in cancer gene copy number alterations between Epstein-Barr virus-positive and Epstein-Barr virus-negative nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Head & Neck Jun 25, 2018
Ooft ML, et al. - Experts compared cancer gene copy-number alterations (CNAs) of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive and EBV-negative nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Some similarities were demonstrated by the EBV-positive and EBV-negative NPC in cancer gene CNAs, thereby suggesting a common pathogenic route, but also important differences that can possibly indicate divergence in oncogenesis. For the survival in EBV-positive NPC, copy number gain/amplification of CCNL1 and PTK2 are possibly good predictors.
