Dickkopf-related protein 3 promotes cell adhesion and invasion during progression of lung adenocarcinoma
Pathology International Nov 14, 2019
Komori Y, et al. - In this study, using 200 lung adenocarcinoma specimens, the association between dickkopf-related protein 3 (DKK3, an evolutionally conserved group of secreted glycoproteins identified by two different cysteine-rich domains) expression and clinicopathological characteristics by immunohistochemistry. It was found out that DKK3 plays a role in the progression of lung adenocarcinoma by promoting cell adhesion and invasion. Moreover, DKK3 could be a fresh extracellular cancer therapeutic target, and it appears significant to explain molecular mechanisms underlying the DKK3 functions relative to cell context.
