Alghounaim M, et al. – Study authors intended to estimate the yield and clinical effect of routine respiratory virus culture among children with a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) result. Findings demonstrated that routine viral culture on respiratory specimens that were negative by PCR had low yield and minimal clinical effect in a pediatric population.
