Diagnostic value of urinary monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 in evaluating the activity of lupus nephritis: A meta-analysis

Xia YR, Li QR, Wang JP, et al. - This study was undertaken to investigate systematically the overall diagnostic value of urinary monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (uMCP-1) in systemic lupus erythematosus patients with active lupus nephritis (LN). Researchers carried out to retrieve articles from PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE and Cochrane Library up to 5 November 2019. The Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool, and statistical analyses were applied to assess the study quality. This meta-analysis included a sum of seven original studies enrolling 521 participants. The evidence revealed that uMCP-1 has high diagnostic accuracy for active LN as a non-invasive biomarker.
