Diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound for differential diagnosis of malignant and benign soft tissue masses: a meta-analysis
Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology Sep 10, 2020
Wang P, Wu M, Li A, et al. - A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the value of applying contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant soft tissue masses (STMs). Through a comprehensive search of PubMed, Ovid, Cochrane, and Web of Science, relevant studies published before March 24, 2020, were distinguished. Researchers selected five studies comprising a total of 746 patients. The subgroup analysis demonstrated that different index tests of CEUS resulted in different diagnostic performance. For the differential diagnosis,, CEUS is an effective method between benign and malignant STMs.
