Hong EK, et al. - Authors retrospectively examined 193 subjects to evaluate the diagnostic role of combination of ultrasound and CT (ultrasound/CT) for the diagnosis of recurrent differentiated thyroid cancer along with the potential advantages. Higher sensitivity and lower specificity were observed for ultrasound/CT vs ultrasound alone in the detection of cervical recurrence. In detecting recurrence, 40.9% of subjects benefited from additional CT.
