Diagnostic value of anti-citrullinated fibrinogen antibody in rheumatoid arthritis: A meta-analysis
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Feb 11, 2019
Dai ZW, et al. - Researchers analyzed the data to assess the overall diagnostic value of anti-citrullinated fibrinogen (ACF) antibody in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). They used the QUADAS-2 tool to estimate the quality of eligible studies. They noted the values of pooled sensitivity, specificity, pooled positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio and diagnostic odds ratio of ACF, 0.61, 0.93, 9.33, 0.39 and 24.58, respectively. They did not obtain the principal causes of heterogeneity and significant publication bias. Hence, they concluded that ACF antibody had a moderate diagnostic efficiency on RA.
