Diagnostic performance of monoexponential DWI vs diffusion kurtosis imaging in prostate cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis
American Journal of Roentgenology | Jun 03, 2018
Si Y, et al. - Authors compared the diagnostic performance of monoexponential DWI and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) for the detection of prostate cancer (PCa). They conducted a systematic literature search for studies evaluating the diagnostic value of monoexponential DWI and DKI for PCa in the same patient cohorts with sufficient data to construct 2 × 2 contingency tables. Comparable diagnostic accuracies for PCa were demonstrated with monoexponential DWI and DKI. For the diagnosis of PCa, DKI was a potentially helpful method. Hence considering the current evidence, the inclusion of DKI in the routine clinical assessment of PCa is not suggested for the moment.
