Diagnostic performance of fractional flow reserve derived from coronary CT angiography for detection of lesion-specific ischemia: A multi-center study and meta-analysis
European Journal of Radiology Jun 05, 2019
Tang CX, et al. - The researchers intended to study patients with coronary artery disease before and with invasive fractional flow reserve serving as the reference standard, by evaluating the diagnostic performance of coronary computed tomography angiography derived fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR) with invasive fractional flow reserve (FFR). The data of 136 patients were combined to identify studies comparing the diagnostic performance of coronary computed tomography angiography and CT-FFR. The study concluded the higher diagnostic accuracy of CT-FFR in determining ischemia-specific lesions and intermediate lesions. No significant difference was noted, when the combined diagnostic performance of different algorithms of CT-FFR with invasive FFR was compared.
