Diagnostic accuracy of two‐dimensional shear wave elastography and magnetic resonance elastography for staging liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology May 18, 2021
Dong BT, Chen YP, Lyu GR, et al. - A meta‐analysis was conducted to correlate the performance of two‐dimensional shear wave elastography (2D‐SWE) and magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) for diagnosing fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Researchers carried out searches of literature databases until January 1st 2021. The research enrolled 24 studies including a total of 5,126 CHB patients. In patients with CHB, MRE and 2D‐SWE are excellent tools for staging fibrosis. In comparison with 2D‐SWE, MRE probably exhibits better diagnostic accuracy in detecting significant fibrosis.
